#1409 0725 10A Full Truth teaching that God wants us to know and live is clearly explained in His Book—it is the only true teaching. There are millions of religious organizations in the world, and every one claims to be right or teach the way to heaven. Jesus warned, however, that there would be very few true believers when He returned. True Christians who actually lived by faith in Him would be the minority, compared to the millions who profess, but do not practice, God’s Word. We know that all religions are not right, and that very few would know, teach, and live God’s Truth. The Bible, then, is the only source of Truth that God wants us to know, believe, and live. Any religious organization that claims to give the true gospel would have to teach the full Truth from God’s Word. True teaching is that God wants us to trust Him in faith for everything in this life, but false teaching omits that, and basically depends on human plans for things in this life. That is the great separation line between true and false religious teaching. Bible believers depended on God for everything—their spiritual life, physical healing, control of their home, financial needs, divine protection, avenging injustices, and everything else. Anyone could follow that plan, but only if they will surrender their life to God, and only if they are willing to have their rebellious heart attitude converted to an obedient heart attitude. We begin life overstocked with human trust for everything in this life. Everyone has this self-control as their first attitude, and which increases to eventually dominate. By the time we become an adult, self-trust has had control for a long time, so there is much spiritual work for God to undo that attitude of unbelief. When we have the Holy Spirit, we are able to trust God. We make the choice to believe—then God teaches us how to trust Him in faith. He is the only One who can do that spiritual work. His Spirit inspires faith in our heart to trust Him—for everything—for divine healing, for money each day, for peace in the home, for protection from harm, for the ability to make right decisions, and for everything else. The prophet says Ezekiel 36:25, "Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols.” Since we began with an idolatrous attitude and human trust on everything or anything but God, we need to be cleansed from that sin nature which refuses to trust God. God will teach us as quickly as we are willing to have self taken out of our heart, and the Holy Spirit installed in its place. It is like replacing a corrupted computer file or program with a clean, non-corrupted one that operates correctly. When idols are taken out of the way, we are released from the desire to trust in human power, plans, procedures, or policies. God wants us to trust Him, because only by believing faith in Him, is He able to give us our inheritance—which includes all needs in this life and the final reward of eternal life thru faith in the Atonement sacrifice of His Son. What a great opportunity it is to have God be willing to teach what we need to know, so that we can receive those great blessings. The greatest Teacher is giving free lessons. God created the universe and all of life, so He is well qualified to teach every spiritual lesson needed to be a true child of His. Being born with a rebellious heart, and full of human trust on things the devil has devised, places us at a spiritual disadvantage. With an idolatrous spirit of self within, God is not able to teach us how to trust Him. We need the promise fulfilled Ezekiel 36:25 “from all your idols, will I cleanse you.” When we are willing to let go of idols, God’s Spirit is able to cleanse our heart, and to take control of our decisions—we are then in a position to trust God. Just as soon as we will accept that, God will teach us how to trust Him in believing faith. It will be normal and effortless to trust God, because we are now free from the rebellious nature that had wanted to trust in something other than God. The sin nature is now out of our heart, and the divine nature in its place. God wants us to trust Him in faith for everything, because it is only by faith that He can give us divine promises—which are provided through believing faith on the Atonement of His Son. Those promises are made “Yes” through faith in Christ 2 Corinthians 1:20, and include everything we could need, or want, in this life to be contented—while we wait for the blessed hope. Being prepared for eternal life means we have learned to trust God in this life. He is the greatest of Instructors and every lesson is without cost. He created everything and everyone, so He knows how to make us what we should be. His plan is for us to be happy by trusting Him in this life, and to be ready for His eternal life by that same believing faith when His Son returns. The only place where the sin nature can die in us, and the divine nature live in its place, is right here in this life—and the only time to learn lessons of faith is right now; today—by a choice to believe. Hebrews 3:7-9 ”As the Holy Spirit says: ‘Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion, during the time of testing in the desert, where your fathers tested and tried me and for forty years saw what I did.” We should not test God, but we are to trust God for everything. When God was trying to teach His people, they rebelled, were stubborn, and tested His patience. Hebrews 3:10-11 That is why I was angry with that generation, and I said, ‘Their hearts are always going astray, and they have not known my ways.’ So I declared on oath in my anger, ‘They shall never enter my rest.’” The dividing line between true and false teaching—between a religion controlled by Satan and a religion controlled by God—hinges on whom they believe and trust. True religious teaching instructs the listener to learn from God, through the power of His Spirit, how to trust Him and how to depend on Him in faith for everything. Hebrews 3:12 “See to it, brothers, that none of you has a sinful [evil], unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God.” Those under Satan’s control, even though they may be wearing religious clothing, are those trusting in human plans, power, or policies for things in this life. It is just a question of whom we are trusting on, that determines whether we are following true or false teaching. God’s plan of deliverance must include the shedding of blood—beginning with Abel’s lamb of atonement Genesis 4, and ending with the true Lamb of God—who was sacrificed for us John 1:29. His blood would cancel the guilt and sin of the entire world, and would place God at our side—to deliver us, heal us, protect us, provide our needs, avenge any wrongs, and be at our service for anything. Romans 8:31-32 “If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?” There are two conditions to make the Atonement effective. First is to put aside every human plan, and to depend on the power of the living God—only. Second is to accept the promises of God’s Word as sufficient evidence that our prayer is answered and the deliverance received. It is the same two conditions in human transactions—we go to the one who has what we need, and we believe their word when obtaining it from them. The Word of God is the plan for receiving the deliverance, the Holy Spirit is the power to accomplish the results, and the Blood of Christ is the value paid for the victory. There are millions of counterfeit messages in the world. Satan’s only desire is to cause confusion, deceive people, and lead multitudes to Hell by having them to believe his lies, and to accept his substitutes. Many claim to believe the Bible, and multitudes profess faith in Christ, but in truth they have shut God out, and they control their whole life by following human plans. They do not know God, nor His plan for victory by faith in Him, so they do not trust Him—for things concerning the home, for healing, for protection, for injustices, or for anything else God promises to do and provide. Some false religions teach that Saturday is the Sabbath—even though Saturday is not mentioned in the Bible. Our calendar did not even exist then. God’s plan is work six days and rest on the following—so if anyone does that, they are obeying both the letter and the spirit of God’s Word. There are many other delusions that teach many other counterfeit plans—all designed by the devil to have people unprepared for eternity, because of not trusting God in believing faith for things in this life. Counterfeits of Satan nullify the Blood of Christ and the power of God. The devil has spiritually blinded multitudes to believe his lies and to reject God’s Truth. The devil works continuously to deceive by any means possible—he uses 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12 ”every kind of wicked deception for those who are on the way to perdition because they did not welcome into their hearts the love of the truth, so that they might be saved. “And for this reason God sends them a misleading influence [strong delusion] that they may believe the lie; in order that all may come under judgement [condemned; damned] who have refused to believe the truth and have taken pleasure in unrighteousness.” There is much false teaching today, but only one true faith in God, that truly believes Jesus—who is the same forever Hebrews 13:8—and who atoned for their sins. God wants us to have His kingdom, so He wants us to trust Him in believing faith during this life. Hebrews 3:14 ”For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end.” That is true gospel teaching. †††
