#1454 1114 10P Jesus said John 18:37 ”Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice;” John 10:27 "I know them, and they follow Me.” God’s ultimate Truth was given by His beloved Son. That Truth is taught in the Bible and it is our responsibility to read it, believe it, value it, and be inspired by His Holy Spirit to live it every day by faith. Eternal life is a gift of God to anyone willing to believe Him; ready to place a trusting faith in His Atonement Blood sacrifice, and knowing they will have to endure through tests of faith in the ability God supplies. This Truth can never change Malachi 3:6 ”For I am the LORD, I change not.” We live God’s Truth by faith Titus 1:2 ”In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began.” If anyone accepts Satan’s lie that there is no ultimate truth, then they reject God’s Truth of trusting faith in Him for things in this life. Jesus warned Matthew 7:15 ”Beware of the false teachers—men who come to you in sheep’s fleeces, but beneath that disguise they are ravenous wolves.” Matthew 24:4 “Take heed that no man deceive you.” Mark 12:38 ”Be on your guard against the Scribes.” Luke 21:8 ”See to it that you are not misled”—by their false teaching and wrong ideas about faith, trust, endurance, and God’s grace. Jesus told Pilate He was a King— John 18:37, “and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.” People in the world want to decide for themselves how to live their life, but God has already decided on the plan of believing and trusting faith. His Son explained Luke 14:26 ”If any man come to me, and hate not his [dearest family], and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.” The world today does not believe God’s Truth, and will not trust an unseen God who is the Creator of all things, the Sustainer of all life, and the Source of all Truth. The majority of professing Christians do not want to hear “God said,” because they do not want to live by His Truth of trust on Him by faith in His Son. Matthew 18:3 ”Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.” Jesus said that everyone will give an account for every careless word spoken Matthew 12:37, ”for by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.” Far too often we have said things that would condemn us, so we need to repent, and change, and grow spiritually. Matthew 15:18-20 ”Those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man. For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications [immorality], thefts, false witness [perjury], blasphemies [slander; evil speakings]: These are the things which defile a man.” God is the Creator, Healer, Protector, and Sustainer of all life, and His Son made the ultimate sacrifice to save our soul. Now it is our choice—we must ask for, and receive, the gift of the Holy Spirit so we will be inspired to trust God in faith. If God created all life; if Jesus paid the penalty of all sins; and if the Holy Spirit alone can inspire faith to trust on an unseen God, then it is possible to live a righteous life—by faith and by choice. The Holy Spirit is given only to believers, and only He can guide you into all truth John 16:13. Jesus explained that a trusting faith in Him was the one, and only way, to the Father. He said 18:37 ”Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.” God’s kingdom is exclusive—we can enter only with an ID of believing faith on the living God of the Bible. John 12:46 "I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me should not abide in darkness.” We first make the choice to believe, then we accept the gift of the Holy Spirit—who inspires faith to believe; enables us to trust; and gives the ability to persevere thru trials. Faith in the Atonement of Christ is the only way to health, healing, and heaven—because His Blood sacrifice is the only way to purity of heart. When the apostle Paul was converted, Jesus told him that he was being sent to the Gentiles Acts 26:18 “to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.” Jesus came to pay for our change of heart, and to give us His Father’s Truth. He told us to repent of our sins, because He will return for those who are doing ”the will of the Father” Matthew 12:50. Jesus told us to forgive others from the heart, because He has forgiven us on the cross. He said we are to give to those who ask to prove we love Him more than we love money; He said to show mercy toward people to prove that divine love was in our heart; He told us to share with anyone in need to show we had compassion; and He said not to store up financial assets in this life to prove we really would trust God in faith Matthew 6. He said we are to be the peacemaker; to desire righteousness by keeping our trust on Him, and that we are to be glad when insulted and slandered, because only true believers are persecuted by unbelievers. He told us to be a spiritual light by truly living God’s Truth, because most people will not trust Him in faith in these closing days. If we allow the spiritual light we once had to burn out Matthew 5:13 we are ”no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless. Salt prevents corruption. God’s Truth is a sincere trust on Him every day. His Truth includes repentance, forsaking sins, and showing spiritual fruit by a continuing trust on His Atonement sacrifice for real issues every day. God gives the ability—we just make the choice—but a vitally important one. Hebrews 11:24-25 ”By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter; Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season.” Galatians 6:8 ”He that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.” Sowing to please the Spirit, includes trusting God for healing—not trusting drugs or medication. True faith in Christ includes trusting God for each day’s needs—not depending on stored money or emergency funds. God’s Truth includes trusting Him for protection—not trusting on weapons, seat belts, or insurance coverage. God wants us to trust Him for that critical heart attitude change—from a rebellious one that will not trust Him, to a submissive one that will trust Him gladly. It is a choice—and a change of direction. Romans 8:6-7 ”For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded [controlled by the Spirit] is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against [hostile to] God.” Jesus said our righteousness must be more than a pious appearance—it must be a total transformation from a rebellious heart to an obedient one. The Holy Spirit will inspire anyone—if they are willing to trust in faith on an unseen God. Romans 8:9 ”You are controlled not by the sinful nature but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ.” The Holy Spirit inspires faith in us to trust God in faith. With the Spirit in control, we are glad to do God’s will—just like first-century believers who sold their possessions, so they could help those in need Acts 2:44-47. The apostle said Romans 8:11 ”If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you.” Who do we want to be in control—a defiant rebellious nature or a divine obedient one—is the issue. We are to hunger for righteousness by wanting to trust on the Blood of Christ. With the Holy Spirit in control Romans 8:12 ”We have an obligation—but it is not to the sinful nature, to live according to it.” We have an obligation to trust God in faith, because of the price Jesus paid for our soul. We have to Luke 13:24 ”Strive to enter in at the strait gate;” Romans 8:13 ”If by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds [old bodily habits] of the body, you will live.” Jesus expanded on the Commandments Exodus 20:1-17. If we are angry at someone “without a [just] cause” Matthew 5:22, we could be judged guilty, and if we are mad enough to say, ”You fool! shall be in danger of hell fire.” That is why He also said Matthew 12:37 “by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.” If we look at someone with wrong thoughts Matthew 5:28-29, He said we have already committed adultery. If anything causes us to sin, we are to take drastic action and get rid of it. Whatever is tempting for us must be eliminated. We would be much better off without those things, than to keep them, keep sinning, and our ”Whole body to be cast into hell.” God’s love for us, and His divine power to deliver, heal, provide, and protect us—can never change. In all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us Romans 8:37. The issue is whether we love God enough to value and to live His Truth—it is about whether we believe Him enough to trust Him in faith. The Atonement Blood of His Son was to convert our heart. If that change has taken place, then we would gladly trust God in faith—for health and healing—without prescription drugs or medication; to trust God for protection—without seatbelts, alarms, or guns; to trust God for food and finances each day—without supplies stored for emergency; and to trust God for salvation by a believing and enduring faith in the Blood of His Son. His sacrifice has provided and promised all those things without cost. |
