#1435 0926 10 There is so many distortions and wrong interpretations of God’s Word in these closing days, that we have to be more aware than ever of false teaching. There are millions of religions in the world, but very few giving the full truth from God’s Word. Jesus said that true believers, who really trusted in Him, would be the minority—compared to the millions who just profess faith. Matthew 7:15 "Beware of the false teachers—men who come to you in sheep’s fleeces, but beneath that disguise they are ravenous wolves.” He warned Matthew 24:4 "Take care that no one misleads [deceives NIV] you." Mark 12:38,40 "Be on your guard against the Scribes who—mask their wickedness by making long prayers.” Luke 21:8 "See to it that you are not misled; for many will come assuming my name and professing, ‘I am He,’ or saying, ‘The time is close at hand.’ Do not go and follow them.” With all these warnings, we must be spiritually alert to possible deception. Every true believer has to contend, and defend, God’s full Truth Jude 1:3 because false grace messages are everywhere today. A common delusion is once saved always saved—and going by many other aliases, such as; perseverance of the saints; doctrine of election; or eternal security. It is the same lie, disguised under different names. The apostle Paul warned that false teaching would be a strong delusion which would mislead many 2 Thessalonians 2:12 ”That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness [wickedness].” The truth is that we must be truly trusting in faith on the Atonement Blood of Christ for physical healing without drugs; for divine protection without devices; for daily needs without money in reserve; and for avenging of wrongs without defense attorneys. The deception began with the serpent Genesis 3 and continues to this day. Satan’s one purpose is to deceive and to destroy anyone who is not alert. He has deceived millions to accept false plans on which they trust, because he knows that this will jeopardize their eternal life. He wants to have their faith in the Atonement Blood of Christ be replaced with a substitute he has inspired. All these counterfeit plans are inspired by the devil to have people be unprepared for eternity because of not trusting God in believing faith for things in this life. Counterfeits of Satan nullify the Blood of Christ and the power of God. No one can let down their spiritual guard, because no one can make a mistake about eternal life. 1 Timothy 4:16 ”Be on your guard as to yourself and your teaching [doctrine]. Persevere in these things; for by doing this you will make certain your own salvation and that of your hearers.” This present life is an intense spiritual war for our eternal soul Ephesians 6:12. The Bible warns us repeatedly to repent and to turn back to God in faith—if we have sinned, strayed, or drifted from a position of trust on the Blood of Christ. If we do not make corrections when shown mistakes, Satan could dissolve our faith, defile our conscience, and replace belief in God with unbelief of the world. Jesus warned about the danger of holding on to false places of trust, because such idols can take us out of God’s will. Matthew 6:19 "Do not lay up stores of wealth for yourselves on earth.” He said, if anything causes us to sin Matthew 5:30, we should get rid of it, rather than keep it—and keep sinning, because we could find ourselves in the flames where the suffering never ends and the fire is never quenched Mark 9:48. God’s first truth was that Eve would die spiritually if she disobeyed His Word, and Satan’s first lie was that she would not die if she disobeyed God Genesis 3:4. This deception of Satan continues to this day, and it keeps getting worse—to keep people in sin and unbelief. Satan has convinced multitudes that they can just talk about faith and still be saved. When an agent of Satan says that we can never be taken out of God’s hand, John 10:28 no matter what sin we commit, or who we trust in faith, we are to say what Jesus said John 10:27, ”My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me”—in believing, trusting, and enduring faith on the power of the Blood. We praise God for the promise John 10:28 and thank Him for the warning that we must continue to trust in believing faith on the Atonement Blood of Christ. Romans 11:22 ”Consider the goodness and severity of God: on those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in His goodness. Otherwise you also will be cut off.” Anyone can be saved, but only by a trusting, believing, and continuing faith in the Atonement of Christ—not a continuing faith in the advice and drugs of the medical system. It is a serious sin to not believe and to not trust God in faith. Romans 11:20-23 “Remember—those branches, the Jews, were broken off because they didn’t believe God, and you are there because you do believe. Don’t think highly of yourself, but fear what could happen. For if God did not spare the branches he put there in the first place, he won’t spare you either. Notice how God is both kind and severe. He is severe to those who disobeyed, but kind to you as you continue to trust in his kindness. But if you stop trusting, you also will be cut off. And if the Jews turn from their unbelief, God will graft them back into the tree again.” The apostle warned 2 Corinthians 11:3 “I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray [corrupted] from your sincere and pure devotion [fidelity] to Christ.” Satan’s deception in Eden Genesis 3 is the same deception heard from false teachers today—you will not surely die if you sin or disobey God; but God says you will! Ezekiel was warned not to say what the false prophets were saying, because he would be responsible if he did not give the truth. Ezekiel 33:8 “When I say to the wicked, `O wicked man, you will surely die,' and you do not speak out to dissuade him from his ways, that wicked man will die for his sin, and I will hold you accountable for his blood.” Many ministers are speaking empty words and they will be held accountable for the spiritual harm they have done. Anyone who accepts false teaching, that a trusting faith on the Atonement sacrifice of Christ is not necessary for salvation, is being seriously deceived, and will find themselves in the lake of fire; if they do not repent. The apostle said Colossians 2:3-4 ”In [Christ] lie hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. I am telling you this so that no one will be able to deceive you with persuasive [enticing] arguments.” Many profess faith in Christ, but are deceived to think that they do not have to act in faith. Colossians 2:6-8 ”And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to live in obedience to him. Let your roots grow down into him and draw up nourishment from him, so you will grow in [confirmed in the] faith, strong and vigorous in the truth you were taught. Let your lives overflow with thanksgiving for all he has done. Don’t let anyone lead you astray with empty philosophy [vain deceit].” A believing and trusting faith in the Atonement of Christ is vital Colossians 2:9-10 ”For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power”—if you keep trusting Him alone for health, healing, and all other faith issues. Even if the righteous do not continue in believing faith in Christ, they will die spiritually and burn in the fire—if there is no repentance. Ezekiel 18:24 "If a righteous man turns from his righteousness and commits sin and does the same detestable things the wicked man does, will he live? None of the righteous things he has done will be remembered. Because of the unfaithfulness he is guilty of and because of the sins he has committed, he will die.” Believers are righteous only by a trusting faith in the righteous Blood of Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:21 “God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” We are in Christ only by remaining in a position of trust on His Atonement sacrifice—otherwise our faith withers, and we will eventually be destroyed in the fire. We cannot scoff at warnings, nor be arrogant, but we have to be watchful, and definitely be trusting God in faith to the very end of our lives—for the saving of our soul. “Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life” Galatians 6:7-8. True Bible believers trusted God for everything—for their spiritual life, for physical healing, for control of children, for financial needs, for divine protection, for justice, and for everything else without substitutes. Anyone could trust God, but only if they have truly given their life to Him, and only if they allow God to remove the rebellious sin nature in them. The Holy Spirit in our heart enables us to trust God in faith. We make the choice to believe; then God teaches us how to trust Him by faith. He is the only One who can do that important and necessary spiritual work. His Spirit inspires faith in us to trust Him for healing, for peace in the home, for money each day, for protection from harm, to make right decisions, and for everything else by His power alone. The test to determine if it is false teaching, or a true message from God, is to ask “on whom do they truly believe, and on whom do they really trust? A true religious message teaches us to learn under God’s teaching, how to trust in the Atonement Blood of His Son for everything. Hebrews 3:12 “See to it, brothers, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God.” The Word of God is the plan for receiving the answer to prayer, the Holy Spirit is the power to accomplish the results, and the Blood of Christ is the value paid for the victory. |
